There is a link available in the Resource section below that will open the Google Gadget’s website. If you do not want to use the link, simply go to any search engine and look for Google Gadgets. As soon as you open the website, you will see many different gadgets available to you for free. Near the top of the page, there is a Google search feature that will allow you to search through all the different Google Gadgets. This is a great way to find a specific gadget such as calendars or calculators. There are thousands of different users submitting different content so the amount of gadgets is unlimited. Look through each one of them, they are all different and provide many different things.
On the main Google Gadget’s website, towards the left side, you will see different categories to look through. These categories include; News, Tools, Communication, Fun and Games, Finance, Sports, Lifestyle, Technology, and New Stuff. You can also see all gadgets that have been submitted by clicking the All category. As soon as you click on one of these categories, you will see a lot of different gadgets, go through each page to see all the different things people have created. Every single gadget on Google Gadgets can be added to your website for free.
While looking through all the different gadgets, when you find something you like simply click on the Add to your website button below it. When you click on the button, you will be redirected to the gadget’s page. This is a page dedicated to the gadget you have selected. You will see a preview of what the gadget is, and what it does. On this page you can customize the gadget in many different ways. Change the height and width of the gadget as well as colors and borders. You can even change the title!
After you have customized the gadget, you can now preview all the changes. To do this, scroll down towards the bottom of the page and click on the Preview button. After clicking the preview button, the image of the original gadget will change to your customized image. You can now edit it again or keep it the way it is, the decision is completely up to you. When you are finished, click on the button labeled, Get the Code.
There is a box located directly below the Get the Code button. This box includes the html code that you will need to put it on your website. Be sure to click on the button after you have made changes, every time you change something your code will be different. Simply copy the code in the box and go to your website, enter the html code anywhere you want on your website, the decision is up to you. Save the changes to your website and take a look, the gadget should show up just as you want it, exactly where you want it. All for free!
